Through PortShare Promise

In 2023, Maine Office of Tourism released its first Destination Management Plan. The plan supports the long-term success of the state tourism industry by balancing the visitor economy with stewardship of our natural resources and culture, qualities that have always drawn people to Maine. 

 

Knowing Portland’s cruise visitation was set to grow significantly in 2023 and 2024, CruiseMaine partnered with the Cruise Portland Maine consortium to launch a pilot destination management program called PortShare Promise. The five initiatives included a community feedback hotline and a new hop-on / hop-off shuttle.
