PORTLAND

AUTHENTIC BY NATURE

As the largest city in Maine, Portland is a historic seaside port community with a vibrant downtown, an authentic working waterfront, and hundreds of one-of-a-kind shops. Portland is the perfect balance between urban sophistication and quintessential Maine. Named one of the Top 10 Destinations on TripAdvisor, Portland offers everything from James Beard Award-winning restaurants, an abundance of microbreweries, classic lobster rolls, and views of the picturesque Portland Head Light.

Popular excursions in the Greater Portland area include nearby Kennebunkport to the south, a resort destination known for its treasure trove of boutiques and galleries. Home to the Bush Estate, Kennebunk draws visitors from all over with their First Families Museum, and tours of Walker's Point - the family's summer compound.

Just north of Portland is Freeport, home to one of New England's favorite shopping destinations: L.L. Bean. Freeport's charming brick buildings dating back to the 18th century are now home to hundreds of brand-name outlets and local boutiques.
